CENTROPE is living and working space for about 7 million people. It unites bordering regions of four countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria.

The Vienna Business Agency is a member of a task force developing the Centrope – Central European Region – within the BAER (Building a European Region) Project supported also by the EU. The goal is to create a cutting-edge, dynamic and prosperous Central European Region through a wide range of initiatives that bundle and leverage its strengths in business, society and politics and its diverse languages and cultures.

The Vienna Business Agency took together with other partners the lead in establishing “Centrope – Enter the growth market,“ a highly successful global business location marketing campaign that is the first ever to involve four countries combining forces to offer the best possible conditions for international investors. It also reflects the interest to grow together and with united power to offer the best for the international investors and for the companies having seat in this Central European economic area. Vienna as an economic centre of the emerging Centrop region experiences thus further impulse in the internationalisation of Viennese business and thereby, greater competitiveness.
